Oceanography
Oceanography holds a fascinating place in our curriculum at Peninsula High School's NNDCC/NJROTC program, immersing cadets in the exploration of the vast and dynamic world of our oceans. Through engaging lessons and immersive activities, cadets delve into the study of ocean currents, marine life, coastal processes, and the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems. They gain an appreciation for the vital role oceans play in regulating our planet's climate and sustaining life. The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of environmental stewardship and the need to protect and preserve our oceans for future generations. By incorporating oceanography into our program, we instill a sense of wonder and respect for the wonders of the sea, preparing our cadets to become informed advocates for marine conservation and contributing to a sustainable future.
